Belconn's TECK family of products is specifically designed to address New Generation Networks, including FTTH, FTTB and FTTC networks
The TECK family of dome optical joint and splice closures represents the utmost degree of quality and reliability in this field. Thanks to their robust and rugged plastic enclosure and to their performing and featured splicing solution system, TECK products can successfully handle most application environments in transport, access and MAN/WAN networks, ensuring the highest degree of reliability and installation/maintenance flexibility.
TECK joint and splice closures can successfully handle loose tubes optical fibre cables with traditional loose tube-based splicing technology as well as with tubeless single circuit management technology. Tubeless single circuit management technology (TSCM) is specifically suitable for Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN), both being extremely popular these days due to the many FTTH deployment projects.
Thanks to a very modular design, all versions share same base and sub- assemblies but differ in the cap height. As a consequence capacity upgrade can be easily accomplished in the field by just replacing the internal cassette support, adding additional splice modules and replace the cap with a higher one. TECK products are available in 5 versions with increasing fibre capacities. Maximum fibre capacity is 240 fibres or 60 individually addressable optical circuits.
